For years, I dreamt of owning a full time practice.  And I took all of the traditional steps to get there.  I felt I needed the credentials so I have two masters degrees.  I thought this would lead to the promotions I desired but it was never the case.  I stayed in my career as a social worker for over 10 years in complete stagnation.  No matter, what I di, I could never move pass that glass ceiling.  Then one day I woke up and decided enough is enough.  I just started with a part time practice and worked full time.  And that gave me what I needed for a while.  But I dreamed of quitting my job and making my part time into my full time.
